About this policy

This policy covers quickapps.guide, including its information pages and the browser-based setup tool at /start/. It describes this website, not the separate QuickApps Android app, Amazon Kids, YouTube Kids or other installed apps. Those products and their providers have their own privacy information.

The website is intended for parents, guardians and other adults authorised to manage a tablet. It has no child account registration or child-facing submission form.

Who operates the website

AdSpark OÜ, an Estonian private limited company, operates quickapps.guide and is the controller of personal information processed to operate the website and respond to enquiries, as described in this policy.

When you visit or download a file

Your browser requests pages, images, fonts and other files from the website. Hosting and network-security services receive connection information such as an IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information and, where supplied by your browser, a referring page. This information is used to deliver the site, diagnose errors and protect it against abuse. The website runs on a server we operate at Hetzner. See Hetzner’s privacy information for information about the provider.

The site uses Cloudflare for DNS, delivery and security. Website requests pass through Cloudflare before reaching our server. Depending on the protection features enabled, Cloudflare may set security cookies or process additional request information. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and its security-cookie documentation.

Fonts and artwork are served with the website. Embedded YouTube players, social-media widgets and third-party font services are not needed to display these pages.

Website measurement

Cloudflare supplies a browser measurement script (its Web Analytics / Real User Monitoring beacon) on the deployed website. It sends page and referring URLs, page-load timings and other performance metrics to Cloudflare to measure website usage and reliability. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising pixels on this website.

According to Cloudflare’s beacon documentation, this measurement does not use cookies or browser storage, and Cloudflare discards the request’s IP address rather than storing it in its RUM databases or logs. This description concerns the measurement service; website delivery and security still involve the connection information described above.

Cloudflare also enables Network Error Logging. Supporting browsers can report connection failures to Cloudflare, including the affected URL, error type and connection timing, to help diagnose delivery problems. These reports do not contain the setup tool’s USB log or tablet profile data.

What stays in your browser

• Language preference. The site stores your chosen language in local storage under quickapps.lang, so later visits can use the same language.
• USB authorisation key. If you connect a tablet, the setup library can generate an Android Debug Bridge (ADB) key and keep it in this website’s IndexedDB storage. The key is used to authenticate this browser to a tablet you authorise; the private key is not uploaded by the setup code.
• Browser permissions. Your browser manages permission to access the USB device. You can remove the permission in the browser’s site settings. On the tablet, you can separately revoke USB debugging authorisations.

The site does not set an expiry for its stored language preference or ADB key. They remain until you clear site data or the browser removes them. Clearing website data removes the stored preference and key; it does not uninstall apps or undo changes on the tablet.

If you use the USB setup tool

The setup tool asks you to select a device through the browser’s USB permission dialog. Your tablet may also ask you to allow USB debugging.

After connection, the page reads information needed for setup: the device model and serial number, operating-system and Android versions, processor architecture, display density and language, profile names and identifiers, profile usage information, installed package names and the QuickApps version. Where available, it also reads the app’s Plus entitlement status locally from the tablet.

This information is used in the browser to display your device and profiles, choose compatible installation files and carry out the actions you request. Profile names can include a child’s name. The setup code does not send this device information, profile list or installation log to a website database or analytics endpoint.

Files you choose on your computer are read in the browser and transferred to the tablet over USB. When automatic downloads are available, the page requests an installation manifest and package files from the configured download server. Those requests reveal ordinary connection information and the requested file names to that server; they are not uploads of the tablet’s contents.

The technical log can include device identifiers, profile names, file names and errors. It is displayed in the current page and is not automatically submitted. If you choose to share it for support, remove information you do not want to send, especially children’s names and device identifiers.

If you contact us

If you email the website operator, the operator and email provider receive the address, message and attachments you send. This information is used to answer your request and resolve the issue. Send only what is needed; do not send passwords, payment details, a parent PIN or private authorisation keys.

Support correspondence is kept for handling the request, reasonable follow-up and any applicable legal obligations. Website preferences and USB keys are instead stored in your browser as described above. Network-log retention depends on the hosting/security service and the need to operate, troubleshoot and secure the site.

Other services and data handling

Links to the Amazon Appstore, APKMirror and other external websites take you to services controlled by their own operators. Their privacy policies apply to what you do there. The website does not collect Amazon passwords or payment-card details. A Google sign-in requested by YouTube Kids happens in that product, not on this website.

Hosting, security and email providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Applicable provider arrangements and data-protection safeguards govern that processing. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address misuse or a security incident.

Our legitimate interests in delivering, protecting and maintaining the website, understanding its performance and answering enquiries are the legal basis for the relevant personal-data processing (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where a request concerns a contract with us, processing needed to fulfil it or take steps you request before entering it is based on Article 6(1)(b). Processing required by law is based on Article 6(1)(c). Where consent is legally required, we must obtain it before that processing; this policy does not itself constitute consent.

Your choices and rights

You can use the information pages without connecting a tablet. You can stop using the setup page, close it, clear its browser storage and revoke USB access. Disconnecting during installation can interrupt an operation; wait for the current operation to finish where possible.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict processing, obtain a portable copy or complain to a data-protection authority. You may also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email [email protected] to make a request. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete data that exists only in your browser or on your tablet.

You may lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or another competent supervisory authority, including in the EU country where you live or work. You do not have to contact us first.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information to the website operator, contact the operator so the matter can be reviewed.

Changes to this policy

The date at the top identifies the latest revision. If the website’s data practices change, this policy should be updated to describe them. Material changes will be explained on the website where appropriate.
